12 more days!

We call Andry every Sunday. Last week he told us what we had already heard from our facilitator. His school director had given him premission to stay with us in our Kiev apartment. Andry sounded happy about that. He also told us that on Saturday his school had taken the kids to a pool. The water was cold but after five minutes it felt good. It is so wonderful to already be able to talk to him. Most children in orphanages in Ukraine only speak Ukrainian or Russian. He is fluent in Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish and he knows a good bit of German and English. Our conversations sound pretty crazy with all four of us on the phone. Olya is talking to him in Spanish, Ron in German and me in English. Between all three languages we are able to figure out what each other is trying to say. 12 more days until we get on the plane. Can't wait until we're talking to him in person.
